Tidbit

It's homecoming week at Bug's school, which in and of itself is very odd to me.  I come from a football school, and football schools do homecoming in fall.  We have parades through town and a big homecoming football game.  As it should be. 

But now we reside in a non-football school and homecoming week coincides with basketball season.  Oh, the humanity.  So anyhoo, as part of homecoming week, the students dress in a different theme each day and today's theme was "Nerd Day".  As a huge fan of "The Big Bang Theory", Bug has been looking forward to this day for the past week.

She wore her favorite "Sheldon" comic book t-shirt, too short pants, and the requisite black glasses with tape in the middle of the frames.  It was really the whole package.

So Bug gets home from school and is having a snack in the kitchen, still wearing her glasses:

Me: "You know, you can take the glasses off now."

Bug: "I like wearing them."

MiMe: "It's okay, you'll still look like a nerd without them."

(Need I remind you, MiMe is only four.  The force is strong with this one.)
